Hey!  Why is this more expensive?  Well, it's due to the fact that many department store type bikes are built with such poor parts that they are extremely difficult to repair.  We appreciate that some people might need to go this route to get their kids shiny new bikes however, when they break, they are usually really really broken or potentially never were correctly assembled to begin with.  If you find yourself looking at a department store bike, we would encourage you to come shopping in our warehouse of used bikes.  Our used bikes start at around $99.
